State Observation of Power Systems Equipped with Phasor Measurement Units: The Case of Fourth Order Flux-Decay Model

The problem of effective use Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) to enhance power systems awareness and security is a topic key interest. central question solve how this new measurements reconstruct the state system. In paper we provide first solution (globally convergent) estimation multimachine equipped with PMUs described by fourth order flux-decay model. This work significant extension our previous result, where was solved for simpler third model, which it possible recover algebraically part unknown state. Unfortunately, property lost in more accurate are confronted estimating full vector. design observer relies on two recent developments proposed authors, parameter based approach Dynamic Regressor Extension Mixing (DREM) technique estimate these parameters.
